Paul Martin is the founder of United Against Fentanyl and the Walk For Lives campaign. Before that he spent three decades working on a number of humanitarian issues including child welfare, youth development, and homeless prevention .

In 2023 he drove through a town in northern New Mexico called Española, stopped the car, and stayed a year — sitting with people using fentanyl and substitute teaching at the high school, where nearly every student had lost someone.

Paul holds a degree in analytic philosophy from UCLA and a graduate degree in philosophy, religion, and ethics from Talbot School of Theology.
